The Author

Author/historian Bill Mills writes about twentieth-century clandestine operations and espionage history.  Mills' non-fiction books combine the narrative style of a spy thriller with the exacting research of a scholarly text.

Bill Mills holds a BA in History from Framingham State University and an MBA from Babson College.  A life-long interest in World War I espionage led Mills to build a substantial collection of original documents, photographs, and period books related to WWI secret operations.  He often sources material from his private archive while researching new writing projects.  Inspired by the many remarkable “lost stories” of early twentieth century espionage, Mills began work on his first book The League in 2009.

He lives outside of Boston, Massachusetts with his wife and daughter.
